Summary Job Description The Human Resource Compliance & Benefits Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the human resources department, such as onboarding procedures for company employees, working with managers to provide support to company employees regarding personal and professional incidents and managing the employee benefit programs.
This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and is a full-time on-site position with some overnight travel required at times.
Spanish language proficiency required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure that policies and procedures are established and enforced for compliance with all human resource laws and regulations in all locations Manage maintenance and distribution of employee handbook through Focal Pointe's HRIS Ensure that policies and procedures as outlined in employee handbook are consistently enforced Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure all laws and regulations are followed in the recruiting process Manage the administrative aspects of the H2B Visa process Conduct routine HR compliance audits at company locations Maintain organized and updated employee files in compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies Communicate any potential HR compliance issues to senior management and appropriate managers & staff Assist in the investigation, documentation and reporting of any form of work-related illnesses, injuries, accidents or other employee-related issues Works closely with Payroll Administrator to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions and required reports Conduct background checks on prospective employees in compliance with laws and regulations Supervises administration of employee benefits programs including retirement medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance and others Supervises maintenance of benefit records and ensure proper invoicing and benefit deductions Supervises maintenance of enrollment, application, and claims inquiries for all benefit plans Manages benefit renewal processes from evaluation of options through enrollment Installs new plans and changes by preparing announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees Lead benefit introduction and enrollment processes for new employers and acquired companies Qualification Requirements A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience as human resources administrator Experience with managing human resources for a company with locations in multiple states Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines simultaneously Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Spanish language proficiency required Excellent attention to detail Ability to solve a variety of problems independently Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems Self-starter, highly motivated and committed Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plus Job Type:
